The Sciton Contour TRL™ (tunable resurfacing laser) Erbium treatment, is one of the safest, yet most powerful and effective resurfacing lasers available today, and can mimic any laser resurfacing modality available. Laser resurfacing is most commonly performed on the face. It can be very effective at reducing the wrinkles that occur around the mouth (e.g. lip lines) and eyes (e.g. crow’s feet), as well as improving the overall skin tone, texture and color anywhere on the face. The lighter laser peels can be done in most places on the body as well.

Deaconess Cosmetic Dermatology can provide resurfacing treatments that have different depths. Light laser skin resurfacing is ideal for minor wrinkles and spots. A medium or deep resurfacing treatment may be more appropriate for patients who have more significant skin issues. The treatments are similar, but the outcomes and recovery periods differ.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR contour TRL?

Contour TRL™ can be used on the face and body of people of all skin types who desire help reducing fine lines, deep wrinkles, sun spots, and uneven skin tone and texture.

HOW IS A contour trl treatment performed?

Depending on the size and extent of your treatment, the procedure usually lasts 15 to 60 minutes. For lighter procedures, topical numbing cream will be applied for your comfort.

RECOVERY FROM THE CONTOUR TRL EXPERIENCE

Recovery time is variable depending on the extent of treatment. You may experience redness similar to a sunburn immediately after treatment. Our team will make sure you have everything you need for after-treatment care, which may include special ointments to keep the skin moist. It will be important to avoid sunlight as your skin heals.

For light treatments, full recovery is seen in as little as a weekend whereas more aggressive treatments can take 2-3 weeks.

Over the next four to six months, new collagen will continue to grow and the skin may show increasing improvements in tightness and resilience.
